What I mean by that is pretty straightforward biochemistry — your body recognizes the vitamins, minerals, and nutrients found in seaweed, plant botanicals, and pure essential oils because you're made from the same building blocks as the earth and the sea. When you apply these ingredients topically, they work with your biology instead of fighting against it, and your skin doesn't have to struggle to use what it already understands.
That's why I developed Urban Alchemy Lab around these materials — and why I've spent years formulating every product with my team of chemists, to make sure each one delivers on that promise.
Three things everything we make is built on.
Mineral-rich seaweeds from cold, unpolluted waters — primarily the coast of Brittany, France, and sustainably harvested Spirulina from Asia. Seaweed delivers complete nutrition to every skin type. It feeds, it detoxifies, it balances. We use the highest quality because anything less is just noise.
Whole plant botanical extracts — chosen not for their name on a label but for what they actually do. The basic biochemical elements in plants are more easily recognized and assimilated by the human body than synthetically created alternatives. They work with your body, not against it.
Pure essential oils — the kind that carry real therapeutic advantage for mind, body, and skin. Not fragrance compounds. Not synthetic replicates. The actual chemistry of the plant, in a form your body knows how to use.

I've spent decades building relationships with suppliers and labs who share my standards, and between us we've tracked down some of the best botanical materials the world has to offer. Lavender from Provence. Australian Tea Tree. Dead Sea salts. Seaweed from cold, clean waters. These aren't talking points on a label — they're the result of serious sourcing work and long relationships with people who care as much about quality as I do.
I personally select each ingredient that goes into our formulations. As founder and formulator, I develop every product with my team of chemists, and every batch is produced here in the USA under my direct oversight — because efficacy, consistency, and safety are non-negotiable in everything we make.
